Shantisutra began quietly, in a kitchen, with wax, wick, and no intention beyond making something worth living with.

What started as a private ritual became, at a friend's insistence, an offering. Candles gave way to incense. Incense gave way to perfume. Each one built on the same instinct: to work only with what is clean, natural, and true.

The real reason was smaller than any of this: my two cats, and a refusal to fill their home with anything synthetic. So everything we make is free of phthalates and parabens, formulated only with ingredients we'd trust close to skin, and closer still to the ones we love.
